Personal Energy

In feng shui, it is believed that there are 5 factors influencing your life: karma, luck, education, actions, and feng shui. It is also believed that intention can transcend this profile — if it is strong enough. I have been giving intention and my current reality some thought lately, often pondering if things shouldn't look a tad bit different. I am pretty good at the intention thing so what am I missing? And then last night, like a bolt of lightning, it struck me. Our personal energy is so critical to what we attract that, I believe, it deserves its own place in the 5 factor lineup.

We know we should exercise, eat well, sleep enough, and avoid stress (Ha!), but what I hadn't put together was the impact these choices have on our energy. We are all like little magnets out there, attracting similar energies. SO…if you don't sleep well, you hate working out, and you prefer fast food, chances are your body is not operating at full capacity. And if your body is not maximizing its potential, think about how that affects your intentions and goals. I am not in love with working out, but I know that once I get going, I feel GREAT. If I get enough sleep, I feel like conquering K2. And if I eat well, my whole body functions much better. Add it all up and you have a powerhouse of positive personal energy…and that is an unstoppable combination!
