12 Feng Shui rituals to reset your energy (at home)
I truly believe so much of shui is common sense, so it is no surprise to me that – after a conversation about it – non-believers, the shui curious or even people who work with energy say, “that seems so obvious. why have I never thought of this before?”
Feng Shui is the most practical magic I know, and yet, it’s often misunderstood — mistaken for mysticism when it’s really about reading a room using your intuition and metaphorical discernment.
it’s also why the results shui delivers usually don’t come from a single ritual or dramatic overhaul. they emerge when you start seeing your surroundings as a collaborative partner.
so, when a client calls me feeling tapped out or tangled up — ready to throw in the shui towel — this is what I remind them:
there is magic in the muscle memory of the familiar.
so, here are my top 12 basic rituals that I reach for when things feel out of sync. they also happen to be what keep me anchored, focused, and receptive to results that others might call “lucky.”

no. 1: strive to keep something beautiful in every room. beauty elevates everything around it, including YOU!
no. 2: enchant the entrance because first impressions matter – for people as much as the energy you are calling into your life!
no. 3: sweep your porch (if you have one) often. any TLC here is a deliberate invitation to fresh possibilities and synchronicities.
in fact, a 1:1 client from way-back-when reached out this week and shared this:
“this morning I swept my front porch and the door we use most, wiped it down, then blew cinnamon at it. tossed the broom in my car and headed to my office—only to find someone had already swept my office doorstep. I’ve been leasing this space since February 1st, and to my knowledge, no one has ever touched that entryway but me.”
no. 4: honor daily rituals. rituals around a home allow us to observe what our things are “saying” to us.
discipline + delight = the alchemy of order.
no. 5: make your bed. begin your day with success — and let it multiply.
no. 6: turn on (or up) the light. light shifts our moods; it clarifies our perspective; and it illuminates possibilities.
no. 7: open the windows. fresh air = fresh energy, every time.
no. 8: buy the flowers – YOU are reason enough.
no. 9: move 27 things. don’t overthink it – just get moving and invite change in!
no. 10: swap out old photos for fresh joy, and let your walls and shelves reflect your current season.
no. 11: wake up your walls. if one photo is worth a thousand words, a home filled with them can sometimes feel overwhelming. take all the photos down for a day – let the walls and shelves breathe.
no. 12: stimulate all 5 senses. when all the senses are tended to and nurtured, your body feels safe – and from there, energy (ideas, opportunities, optimism) flows freely.
what I LOVE about this list is these aren’t just tips – they’re touchstones where muscle memory forms.
now, if you’re someone who senses that your home has more to give — or that your environment could be your greatest asset — I am SO thrilled you’re here because when you know what to do, shui won’t just shift your space. it will shape your future, too! xo
