5 ways to shake your moneymaker!
abundance is a popular dame around here – people always want to know the shui to woo her attention over to their table. here’s the thing, though – abundance is not exclusive to net worth, income, and portfolios. real abundance embodies all the beauty in our lives: our family and friends; our physical + emotional + spiritual well-being; the belief in our network and available opportunities; and personal resilience and resourcefulness. when we recognize abundance for who she really is, she revels in the attention and that shift has an elegant way of improving greener circumstances.
so, how about a few ways to drum up a conversation and posture yourself for her arrival?
SHOW MONEY R-E-S-P-E-C-T. keep your purse off the floor. designate a space to collect spare change, loose bills, +/or foreign currency. balance your accounts regularly – repetition diminishes helplessness. create a ritual around paying bills – spin an album you LOVE, light a candle, or grab a finish-line treat. what we appreciate appreciates, so don’t underestimate these money moves because of their simplicity.
FAVOR SUCCESS. this is a daily exercise in actively looking for proofs of abundance. how many coins can you find in a week? name 9 positive things you see from where you are sitting right now. and when something is offered to you, don’t interrupt this flow of abundance – whether it’s a compliment, a gesture, or some cheddah!
LIFESTYLE YOUR SURROUNDINGS. quick question: if you were money, would you want to live in your house? listen, you have dreams (i know you do!), and shui will drive IF you give it direction. since shui’s language is energy, you know the drill: clear up the clutter; open the windows and let the light in; make small improvements in your space; and by all means, prioritize beauty.
GET RICH ONE WORD AT A TIME. need a refresh on the power of words? read this. otherwise, play with phrases like “it’s a good thing we’re rich” or “i am ready to be [insert your own prosperity prospects here].” and please, please, please focus on the “I have” declarations instead of the “I want” dissatisfactions.
BE SHUI SAVVY. we all LOVE a little metaphorical magic, especially because it is so effective at blasting through our energy blocks. so, use one of the following wealth symbols around your home, at the office, in the WEALTH corner of a room/your house, or wherever you fancy!
acorns: these signify potential because a wee acorn becomes a giant oak tree. gather a few outside or find some at a craft store + paint them gold. or, buy a print for the office. either way, consider steady growth of your abundance activated.
ships: every time i suggest this cure, i end up crooning “Sailing” by Christopher Cross – “oh, the canvas can do miracles, just you wait and see.” calm waters represent prosperity and smooth sailing, so imagery of full sails and water is a shui ally. word of caution: rough waters +/or battleships don’t denote quite the same vibe, so choose accordingly.
gold ingots: these are considered auspicious all day long as their symbolism suggests the accumulation of money.
Lakshmi: i LOVE adding her to spaces for female empowerment + financial autonomy. Lakshmi is the Hindu goddess of wealth and prosperity, and she is often regaled in opulence. if you choose to incorporate her into your space, consider adding fresh flowers nearby regularly or draping her with jewelry of your own, like a strand of…
pearls: these are Lakshmi’s love language, as pearls signify both spiritual and physical prosperity. when you desire abundance from your creativity, this is the must-have accessory of the season! if you’ve read 50 Shades of Shui, you know the color white + round shape both denote creativity. and if wearing them isn’t going to happen, place them in bowls or around the body of a lamp or out somewhere you see them!
waterfalls: unlike the TLC song, these are great when you’re chasing abundance. the steady stream of water represents financial flow in our lives, so find imagery of one and place it in your entryway – make sure the water flows INTO your space, and the money-honey will follow!
knowing there is enough often begins with knowing we are enough, so acknowledge and appreciate what you DO have; what you HAVE accomplished; and revel in the gifts of right NOW because when we look for the good, that’s where our attention goes. and abundance will follow your lead, making you her darling!
