order, structure, and simplicity are my daily essentials.

yet, one would think when i begin any creative collaboration, i would know better than to future trip with these great expectations.

ambitiously, i began summer with high hope of finally getting the lovelies' rooms done.

on the brink of september, i am almost done.

with one.

as for the other? we are still. in. discussions.

i could howl.

negotiating with 9-year-olds takes finesse. and patience. and then more patience.

however.

i am always delighted to be part of a project that involves new paint colors, clean brushes, and empty walls.

my point?

when things don't go our way? prowl for some sparkle worth a smile.

gratitude has a distinct rhythm. seek it out. listen. and make it a daily essential.
