clutter is not love…
one of the simplest ways we reclaim our energy and cultivate an inspired life is to live with what we love, and clutter is not love.
i know – you might need it later… it was a gift… the guilt if i give it away. but when clutter chronically congregates in our space, we get stuck – and getting stuck means we aren’t getting started on what we really want to be doing.
the remedy: prioritize your environment.
when we clear space and restore order, we make room for hope. and with hope in the air, we enrich ourselves – body, mind, and soul.
now, if you’re collapsing just thinking about where to begin, ask yourself: where is my attention constantly tugged? that answer is likely corresponding to something in your life you really want to change. (in my group consult, you learn what every inch of your home represents – and that is EMPOWERING!)
if you’re ready to slough off the excess, here are a few power spots worth exploring:
the front door is where opportunities notice us and come into our lives. so, when the entrance to our home is engaging, the power of our pampering is a siren call to glistening possibilities.
a kitchen represents prosperity – that universal contentment in all areas of our life. and when it’s cluttered, it leaves traces of exhaustion that come from trying to do it all. so, go for quick wins: throw away expired cans and spices; toss old, stale foods that give off low vibrations; and edit the refrigerator of any tired magnets or menus. a messy desk interferes with our creativity. it is okay for our space to be “busy” while working; however, equally important is a quick tidy-up ritual at the end of each day. when we clear space, we also clear our heads. so, think of it like your own hocus pocus to conspire with the muses.
and if your nightstand lacks a little TLC, you might notice hiccups whenever you commit to making change. think about it… we stack books, stash lotions, and store an assortment of things bedside – all of it drumming up distractions. so, keep only bare essentials out, and find a space for everything else. the simple pleasure of clear space over-delivers results. and pleasure, you know, will launch a thousand ships. xo
