every week, Ina Garten brings home white flowers. every week, Ina Garten brings home white flowers. she arranges them herself — no fuss, no fanfare — because they shift the energy of her home immediately.

and if that sounds indulgent? let me reframe it:

fresh flowers are not a splurge; they’re a ritual in self-hospitality.

too expensive? there’s a bundle for every budget.

waiting for a guest to show up? think of whatever you are trying to call into your life as *the guest.*

don’t know where they’d go? try the kitchen table – it’s a prosperity hot spot!

worried they won’t last? that’s kind of the point – to enjoy the present moment and live it to your fullest.

so…

buy the flowers.

and when you do, tag me — I want to see your bloomies, babe!

I’m also sharing how to find a trusted expert through the House Therapy directory, and what it takes to earn a place there, so give this one a listen!

‘tis the season for vacations, gatherings and re ‘tis the season for vacations, gatherings and reunions – which means there will likely be a few family / friend photos. so, here are a few places less than ideal for displaying yours this summer (or winter for the southern hemi peeps!):

TIP ONE: avoid hanging the family photo in your bedroom – otherwise, it could feel a little like everyone is *watching you* in the bedroom! (and if intimacy is an issue or at a stalemate at all, don’t overlook this tip!)

TIP TWO: avoid having the family photo “facing” a bathroom; otherwise, you’re literally looking at *draining* chi 24 / 7.

TIP THREE: if you feel like your people come and go *Grand Central Station* style and you can never get everyone together at the same time, look for any family photos facing the front door.

TIP FOUR: resist the urge to place the family photos on the fireplace mantle – i know this is where we see them so often, but it can be suggestive of *burning up* the family chi, fortune and luck.

TIP FIVE: living rooms, family rooms, dining rooms, hallways, and even the entry (so long as photos are not facing the door) are all excellent spaces to showcase and show off your gorgeous family!

by the way, this is just one piece of the puzzle. you can ind more *photo shui* over on the blog — head to simpleshui.com and search *dull joy*. xo
rooted in years of Feng Shui expertise and designe rooted in years of Feng Shui expertise and designed to work fast, quietly, and beautifully, here are 7 small changes that will make your home feel aspirational:

no. 1: treat your front door like a VIP entrance.

sweep the threshold. wipe down the door. add a bold pop of color. that front door is your home’s mouth, so let it speak powerfully.

no. 2: clear your countertops tonight.

yes, even the one that collects mail, chargers, and that half-sipped coffee. open space is how you show you’re ‘really’ ready to receive.

no. 3: reposition one chair for conversation.

most rooms these days are set up for screens, not connection. shift one seat to face another because real presence is more powerful than a screen.

no. 4: restyle a bookshelf with intention.

display something that feels like a future memory. edit down the visual noise. what you remove is just as powerful as what you display.

no. 5: add a bowl of citrus to your table.

‘tis the season for lemons, limes, and oranges — all of it is a sensory reminder of joy and prosperity that invites fresh energy into the room.

no. 6: move one plant to a new spot.

preferably near your desk, nightstand, or entry — wherever you want more life, more growth, more opportunity!

no. 7: light a candle with intention.

ritual invites rhythm; ambience unlocks creativity. and that flickering duo helps you access inspiration on demand.

which shift are you making first? tell me below with an emoji — or save this for later when you need a reset. xo
you can pour money into every strategy, every “m you can pour money into every strategy, every “must-have” step on your way to success, but…

if you’re not tending to the front door of your home (and life!), you’re overlooking the threshold where all opportunity, all wealth, and all energy enters.

here’s a simple but powerful ritual I share with my students and clients:

open your front door.

stand facing inside.

blow a small pinch of cinnamon through the doorway.

this simple gesture removes energetic blocks that prevent money (income and customers) from coming in, so think of it as you energetically sending the invitation for more clients, more cash, more ease without needing to *push harder* 24/7.

in fact, one of my favorite notes about cinnamon comes from this community: “within a day or two of blowing cinnamon on my front door, I received the offer on my home I’d hoped for!”

proof that small shifts generate big ripples.

and sometimes, it’s simply about opening the door and welcoming life in.

p.s. this is the kind of ritual that sets the tone for everything I teach inside *Become Your Own Feng Shui Consultant*, so if you’re considering joining the House Therapy Certification this fall, this is where you start. grab the course details in my profile.
