There are so many elements to love about summer, but…
the best part…
is undeniably…
the anticipation of autumn.
Oh my goodness.
How I fall for fall!
The leaves change colors.
The weather becomes crisper.
Twilight comes earlier.
Sweaters and heavy comforters are pulled out.
The smell of a burning fireplace fills the sky.
Pumpkins are seen everywhere.
The holidays show up in full regalia.
I mean, what is there NOT to love, really?
And, with the seasons changing and school starting anew, what better time is there to revisit your New Year's resolutions? Take inventory of what still holds your attention. What goals do you yearn to accomplish? Perhaps your purpose and passions are reflected in the expectations you set for yourself at the beginning of 2009. However, we evolve, change our minds, discover new delights, and change course. Think of fall as time to turn over a new leaf. Sarah Ban Breathnach noted, "January resolutions are about will; September resolutions are about authentic wants." Oh, I couldn't have said it better myself. Be willing and open to become more of you and less of what you think you should be. Make this a time to fall for you…
