Q & A: what if we don’t use our front door often?

Q: “we don’t use our front door often. many people close to us even come around to the ‘back door.’ the door is physically hard to open and a little hidden from the street. it’s sort of tucked away. should i work on leading people to it with potted plants? the entryway is also small and sheltered. i don’t have a budget to redo this area, but i can add some little things to make it more obvious and welcoming.”

A: while the architecturally intended front door (AIFD) doesn’t have to be the one everyone recognizes as the main entrance +/or enters, it needs to be used. when we have any part of the home that’s not getting daily circulation, it actually deteriorates all the other good shui vibes we curate. and since the AIFD is considered a power spot in shui, when we don’t use it, we miss out on all its potential energy on tap. think of it like leaving money on the table — it’s right there for the taking! however, don’t worry about doing anything visually to it yet; instead, focus on using it (simply opening the door/cleaning it), making it easier to open, and acknowledging + recognizing you have this power source that hasn’t been fully utilized. begin a ritual of welcoming anything you are seeking to manifest through it, and let that begin the conversation with this space! xo
