simple shui | drink in the wild

sometimes, you just need to drink in the wild. raise your face to the sun. hear rustling leaves from a sweeping wind. stare fixedly at a sparkly night sky. behold the tempting tango of a campfire. and witness the restless spirit of a running river.

this tribe of four did, and so we headed outdoors to become part of its whole.

whenever we peel back the noise and slip into the natural world, we are surrounded by the five elements. wood encourages us to pursue new ideas while remaining flexible. fire fills us with life and inspires our better motivations. earth is grounding and comforting; and at its peak, it reminds us just how incredibly tremendous we are meant to be. metal invites us to appreciate beauty and let go of what is no longer useful. water shows us how to circumvent obstacles and honor our inner wisdom.

so, we nestled into nature’s nook.

between the burgeoning trees + sashaying fields of grass {wood} to the brimming sun by day and holy campfire at night {fire}. . .

standing alongside the rushing river {water} and on its wide open banks of rock {metal}. . .

and searching the infinite expanse of fertile grounds {earth}. . .

our heads cleared while our blood pulsed to a better rhythm.

because nature houses every element poetically, its presence communicates to us reverently on a cellular level. and just like that, we returned bellies fed + souls nourished + hearts scrubbed shiny clean. every loose minute of it perfectly divine. xo
