simple shui | here’s to getting grounded in 2019

while we all can probably relate to future tripping or trolling the past, one thing is certain: we are not present in the moment – and that’s where our power resides. so, when i find myself anxious or worried or not fully charged, i engage everything around me to bring me back to whole. there are so many practices + guides available to get us back in the moment, but i find this ritual the simplest method to getting back on solid ground. look around you and from where you sit/stand. . .

name 5 things you can see.

 

name 4 things you can hear.

 

name 3 things you can feel +/or touch. (this can be the sweater you’re wearing, your hair grazing the back of your neck, the floor underneath your feet.)

 

name 2 things you can smell.

 

name 1 thing you can taste.

 

and when you’ve completed all 15, top it off with one thing you absolutely LOVE about yourself.
