simple shui | photography 101
like anything else in our homes, photos lose their vibrancy and energy over time. here are 5 easy considerations for the photos displayed throughout your house:
1. if the same photos have been on display for years (and years), there is a chance you don’t really notice them anymore. consider replacing them with more current snapshots. this not only tickles the eye, but it effuses effervescence around your space.
2. remove pictures that aren’t flattering of you (or anyone in the home). and replace any photos taken during a particularly unhappy time in your life. find images with a more uplifting memory. anything in our homes that does not elicit a positive vibe generates low, heavy energy instead.
3. any pictures of your children/parents/pets in your bedroom? move these to another room in the house so they aren’t “watching” you.
possible options?
photos of parents and grandparents in a child’s room offer security and express love. and pictures of your children in rooms where company gathers symbolize the joy radiating from your relationship.
4. in blended families, display a picture of everyone together to create harmony. place it in a wood frame, and you simultaneously promote family growth.
5. if your social life needs a boost, surround yourself with photos of happy people together in groups.
anchor your home with happy photos, and you subtly reinforce the happiness percolating in your home profoundly.
