simple shui tip: remove energetic clutter, too!

Q: “I can keep my whole house organized – even moving things around and shaking them up – but I will get my room and closet clean-ish and within days, it will be turned completely upside down again. i don’t know what the block is. do you have any tips?”

A: once you’re done purging / cleaning anything, you’ve addressed the physicality of it, but nothing has been done to remove the energetic residue. so, if the pattern has been around for more than a hot minute (you know, those tendencies to accumulate, create piles, whatever the habit of chaos is), it will pull you right back into your old ways without much effort.

the missing step? you gotta clear your own *predecessor* chi with a good cleanse before and after you’re done! there are so many ways to do this, but here’s one *house favorite* ritual:

first, clear everything out until the space is empty. wipe down the entire space with salt. salt clears any lingering negative chi that might have settled here and keeps it from attaching to you! all you need is a damp cloth, natural rock salt, and a little elbow grease. dip your cloth into the salt, and wipe away with the intention of extracting and eliminating old chi.

and then…

once everything is returned, leave the space on a high note – diffuse some Frankincense, ring a bell (go for a higher pitch), spritz some orange water, or light a favorite herb or resin. set an intention for the space, and voila! you’ve altered the vibration and empowered the space with a whole new frequency!
