want to change your life? change your home.

if you’re ready to provoke some change in your life, here are a few of my all-time favorite shui nudges:

no. 1: lack support? put yourself in command.

ideally, we want your desk and bed *in command*. for those new here, command has two requirements: one, you can see the door (from your desk or bed); and two, you have a solid wall behind you. this *position* is also known as “facing your life” and here’s why:

open space in front of you means you have plenty of room to “take advantage” of auspicious chi heading your way as well as the ability to quickly respond to any challenges approaching.

and.

a solid wall behind you is metaphorical for ‘having your back’; hence, your newfound sense of feeling support in your life!

no. 2: nothing happening? add fire.

feeling stalled out?

life lacking excitement?

monotony and predictability taking their toll?

well, when it comes to transformation and expansion, FIRE knows how to blaze that trail. a few ideas to get you started: ‘warm’ your place up. turn the lamps onincorporate a little pink or red into your seasonal décor; or go full on Stevie Nicks and light all the candles and watch the flames dance. not only will this feed your fire – a visual reminder we are powerful beyond measure – it will also fuel your 2nd chakra!

no. 3: ready for a BIG change? make a NOTICEABLE change in your home.

when we make small changes, it triggers small changes in our lives. so, if a big change is the leap you’re up for, do something in your home that is irrefutably different!

no. 4: ready to ‘put yourself out there? travel.

one of the best ways to change what we see is to literally change what we see. so, book a trip somewhere new, if you can. however, you can ‘expand your horizons’ just as easily by traveling somewhere new in your city; making changes to your well-worn routes (to / from work, home, grocery store, etc.); or finding new circles to travel in (a book club, online community, etc.). xo
