5 ways to Feng Shui a romantic dinner for 2!

any tips from feng shui we can use when setting our table/eating space that could help it become a hub for a romantic night in?

first and foremost, prepare the dining area intentionally. eliminate any work distractions +/or clutter. clutter in the vicinity (especially the daily kind: piles of mail, work bag/computer, etc.) will compromise the mood, distract your energy, and interrupt possibilities for the evening!

if possible, make sure no one’s back faces the door or a large window. this arrangement can cause the person to feel unsettled, which completely counteracts the intimacy of a dinner for two at home.

incorporate the element Fire into the table setting. Fire favors expression, connection, and being “on.” a few suggestions: throw a couple faux sheepskins across hard dining room chairs. weave the colors red, pink, or peach into the table settings. (you don’t need much to spark the energy of Fire – a little color goes a long way!) adorn the table with candles – and then, dim the overhead lights and set the mood by lighting them. take this a step further, and place a few tealights in rose quartz candle holders. . .

rose quartz is well-known as a love charm crystal. it is a Feng Shui favorite when it comes to catering romance and is said to unleash the lover within!

finally, bring peonies into the décor, too. these flowers are LOVE magic. however, their elixir is potent so here’s what you need to know:

if you are single and looking for LOVE, put a bundle of peonies in your living room. if you decide to keep peonies in the bedroom, just know they tend to attract briefly beautiful dalliances. also, choose softer hues of pinks instead of red; otherwise, new relationships might sizzle up and fizzle out quickly.

if you are married and looking to channel some passion, red peonies in a living room will push that agenda. peonies in the bedroom, however, have potential to attract youthful distractions outside the relationship — so, be aware of their placement. xo
