when you think about Feng Shui, most people start with furniture placement or the bagua map, but in my two decades of working with over 500 homes, I can tell you: nothing matters more than your front door.

the front door is so much more than an architectural feature — it’s energy. in Feng Shui, it’s called the mouth of chi, the place where your home takes in its nourishment. and every time you cross that threshold, it’s shaping you, so whether you realize it or not, your front door is already speaking for you.

because I am *always* mentioning it, I have come up with more than a few descriptions to capture its influence, like:

• the front door is a handshake with the universe.
• the front door is a love letter to the life you’re building.
• the front door is the start of every good thing that finds you.

I’ve seen it again and again: when the front door is ignored, so is the person living behind it. give it a little TLC, though, and the energy shifts — opportunities arrive faster, relationships deepen, and confidence expands.
