HOUSE THERAPY: WHY IT’S NEVER JUST ABOUT BIRDSEED
you’ve probably read a suggestion (or two) here about sprinkling birdseed by your front door or hanging a bird feeder in your Wealth area. on the surface, it might seem simple enough, maybe even whimsical. however, with Feng Shui, there’s usually more underneath.
birds represent good fortune.
in flight, they mirror the element associated with the Wealth area: gentle, persistent wind. their presence activates that flow of abundance and their movement stirs momentum.

but here’s what is right underneath all that…
birdsong regulates the nervous system. it’s a biological cue — one that signals safety. when birds chirp in the morning, they’re letting others know they made it through the night. so, when we hear that, our bodies instinctually exhale.
and when we feel safe? it’s easier to soften, to open up, and to be receptive to what we are calling into our lives (intentions, affirmations, new moon wishes, anyone?).
so, yes, when I share a tip about birdseed, it is about the birds and their effervescent chi; it’s also about rhythm, routine, and regulating your space through your biology.
for me, this is the true magic of Feng Shui. it works with the body and the home — creating environments that help you feel grounded, held, and ready for what’s next.
