house therapy | why you can’t skip steps

you can read a Feng Shui book in a weekend, but you can’t learn its framework in one.

earlier this year, I launched something I hadn’t talked much about: an intimate advanced learning space for a handful of my House Therapy graduates who wanted more advanced teaching, real-life application, and conversations about what happens when Feng Shui meets the realities of modern life.

we just wrapped our final power session a few weeks ago, and I’ve been reflecting on the biggest lesson this experience reminded me of:

Feng Shui is best learned in layers – and pacing matters.

because while books can teach you theory, real Feng Shui fluency takes time alongside trial, reflection, and a willingness to let your practice evolve alongside your life.

one of my ‘inner circle’ members shared a story about her spouse who resisted moving his desk into command. she let it be. months later, the very intention they’d set for his career unfolded perfectly without the “fix.”

it was the perfect reminder: sometimes “good” Feng Shui isn’t “right now” Feng Shui.

there’s a saying I love:

“Amateurs work until they get it right. Pros work until they can’t get it wrong.”

that’s the essence of Feng Shui mastery. you don’t get there by memorizing rules.

you get there by working with the energy long enough to recognize its rhythm.

it takes time, experience, and the occasional misstep to develop the intuition to know when to act and when to wait.

that’s why I teach Feng Shui in layers. we start with fundamentals; then we build nuance; and over time, students gain the ability to read both the space and the life happening in it.

that’s where mastery lives – when Feng Shui becomes second nature.

so, if you’re ready to begin your own layering process, November is a good time to start.

every Friday this month, I’m releasing something new – a retreat (first time ever!), a course opportunity, or an in-person experience – each designed to help you learn, gather, and celebrate with me.

here’s a preview:

  • House Therapy Alumni Weekend: a Lunar New Year celebration and reunion.
  • The Simple Shui Course Retreat: a live module experience in early April.
  • The final-ever Simple Shui Course discount before the price increases.

the best way to hear about it all? listen to this week’s episode of House Therapy and then make sure you’re my newsletter and you’ll be first to know. xo
