it started with a leak…
there’s this moment that happens in almost every monthly Q&A we host over in BYOFSC.
someone asks a question – usually something personal or deeply frustrating; I respond; and then someone else – usually after the call – asks: “how did you know that?”
it happened again last Friday.
a student is dealing with water damage and mold in her home. she’s already trying to resolve it, but she was curious about the shui perspective. I shared that water and mold are often signs that energy has been misdirected. it often hints that we’re spending money on the wrong things – the things we don’t truly need or want; that we’re accumulating in an attempt to feel happy; and that we could be using “more” to mask what feels missing.
I also encouraged her to note where the mold was because that ‘area of her life’ is where it could be most pronounced.
for me, this is where the real magic of shui lives.

shui isn’t ‘just’ about fixing something; it’s about recognizing what is ‘disruptive’ in our lives by helping us see what’s underneath the surface.
and the thing is, once you know the ‘what’, you’re less likely to keep searching for the quick fix. in its place, you feel more compelled to move, to speak up, to let go, to demand better.
I have found in my own journey that when I let shui guide my response, I tend to make choices I wouldn’t have made otherwise because they were uncomfortable, difficult, costly because…
Feng Shui isn’t just a fix; it’s an incredible filter, too. it helps us understand the impact, the influence, and the issues at hand.
this is also a peek into what happens in the BYOFSC course. you bring your space, your stories, your hopes, and I bring 20+ years of practice, nuance, and the stories behind the stories.
so, if you’re ready to learn the shui in a way that changes everything, join us here. you bring your Qs and notebooks; I will break down the shui; and we’ll work the wisdom together! xo
