Q & A: what’s one thing people should change at home if they’re having trouble sleeping?

Q: “what’s the one thing people should change at home if they’re having trouble sleeping?”

A: first, clear out any clutter under the bed – it has the potential to agitate a good night’s rest. empty space here is best. however, if your square footage is small and you need it for storage, let your soft stuff (bedding, clothing, etc.) “live” here.

also, pay attention to any vibrant colors in the room. they are activating, so be mindful when selecting them for your bedroom. if you’re primarily drawn to brighter colors, balance that color-fueled yang energy out with a softer palette. otherwise, you will LOVE how your room looks, but you might have hard time falling and staying asleep.

finally, TVs secrete strong EMFs, which disrupt restful sleep. before moving a TV out of the bedroom, though, try covering it with a blanket for a few nights. notice any changes in your sleep quality. if you slumber like a baby, you now have a little extra energy and motivation to find the TV a new “home” in your home.
