5 ways to shift your energy right now
this week, I was interviewed for an upcoming book by one of Hollywood’s top celebrity stylists – Erin Walsh, who styles Selena Gomez, Elizabeth Banks, and Mindy Kaling – and the former editor of Cosmopolitan magazine.
we talked about Feng Shui, of course. more specifically, we discussed how it’s not just about rearranging your furniture – it’s a tool for manifestation.
so, whether you’ve been eyeing my course or sitting on the House Therapy waitlist, consider this your nudge: this work and wisdom transcends trends, and it is relevant in every home, every industry, every life.
curious what I mean?
one of the most powerful tools we work with in shui is the five natural elements: Water, Wood, Fire, Earth, and Metal.
each element holds a specific influence, and when you know how to work with them intentionally, they create remarkable shifts – in your space, your nervous system, your energy, and your life.

so, let’s take a quick look-see into how they can have you feeling like yourself, but clearer, sharper, and way more magnetic:
at the beginning of a new week or goal, ask yourself: what is required of me?
if you need to replenish, add WATER. water quenches your thirst and invites reflection. you might drink more water, give yourself more room to breathe creatively, or dress in something fluid and drapey. think: slipping into a caftan, iced espresso in hand, saying no to anything that doesn’t feel deliciously easeful.
if you need to take initiative, add WOOD. wood gives us breath and movement, creating momentum with purpose. you could walk along a tree-lined path and gather ideas, kickstart a new project you’ve been musing, or dress like you have somewhere important to be. think: a pair of sunnies and a crisp blazer, writing the rules instead of following them.
if you need to connect + be seen, add FIRE. fire invites visibility and vitality, so you could host an intimate or lively conversation, light a candle and let your ideas glow, or wear silks or satins. think: there you are…cocktail in hand, heels kicked off, telling a story everyone leans in to hear.
if you need grounding, add EARTH. earth holds you. earth nourishes. earth whispers “trust yourself.” you might walk barefoot, work with your hands, or wear natural stone jewelry. think: working in your garden, a basket of herbs on your arm, grounded in the moment.
if you need clarity or discernment, add METAL. metal is alchemy. it’s elegance, restraint, and starry-sky brilliance. you could watch the night sky, let the wind clear your field, or curate what you consume – visually, mentally, emotionally. think: heading to a gallery opening – you feel polished, minimalist, untouchable. your presence might be quiet, but no one can look away.
you see, the five elements are your energetic spice cabinet. and in Become Your Own Feng Shui Consultant, I share how to use them, with precision and confidence, in your actual home. think: fresh momentum, warm connections, grounded presence, and room to think clearly. that’s what shifts when your home starts working for you – and it starts in this course. xo
