High Five {2}

Here it is Friday again. And time for my happiness highlights. I have to say…this week has been exceptionally merry!

(1) I LOVE cardinals.

They are radiant in red. And when I manage to catch a glimpse of one, it makes my heart beat wildly. I can't stop staring. It also just so happens cardinals are considered very auspicious by feng shui masters, who deem them especially lucky for those in publishing. In this house, that is a VERY. GOOD. THING.

We have a pair living in a nearby tree, but I usually hear them chirping first…and then make a mad dash to find them. This week, however, I glanced out the window and on my fence sat both. Side by side. Looking at me. Have you ever felt a smile explode from within?

And then.

My creative-genius-girlfriend left a winter wreath on my doorstep. And guess what was on said wreath?

Winter 2010 (5)

How happy was I? VERY.

(2) Finishing my race on Sunday was HUGE. 13 miles was an accomplishment, yes. Running it in the time I wanted? Even better.

(3) How can I not bring up Tokyo? Wanderlust has set in.

(4) Speaking of Tokyo, I am roving for my 2011 goals. And I happened upon one last night:

Spirituality is an open heart. And when you have an open heart, you are open to receive all the abundance the Higher Power, God, grace has to offer you. And then you can love more fully, more deeply.

Compliments to Ms. O here. I fell hard and think it is a goal worthy of 2011, yes?

(5) Saving the very best for last today. Y-O-U. Your words + thoughtful emails? Powerful stuff, I tell you. I read and re-read {and re-read} your notes, and I float all day. This week, you gave me wings, and now I am flying. So high. Thank you. I am humbled and honored by your perspective and presence.

See what I mean? My week has been abundantly happy.
