learn how to bring a home to life!

over the weekend, I attended a Tarot intensive workshop and for two full days, I was immersed in a language and symbolism that was completely brand new to me.

I learned the cards – and the meanings of the different suits, the Major and Minor Arcana cards, and the court cards.

we were introduced to a few spreads – one was a simple four-card spread; the other, the Celtic Cross spread.

we were taught to look for themes among the spreads – is one suit more present that the others? is it comprised of mostly Major Arcana cards? what is the story the cards are telling in relation to each other?

we were encouraged to ask questions of each other instead of blind reading the cards.

we each took turns giving our peers readings, and in return, we had readings done for us.

we also each had to complete a reading for the instructor.

and before we were done, there was a BIG test.

by the end of Saturday (after just arriving home late Friday from Canada), I was almost tapped out and thought about sleeping in Sunday instead. as the sun came up the next day, though, I knew I wanted to see what else there was to learn – and to put myself in the hot seat again.

the BEST PART? before Sunday wrapped, I came home with a certification – beaming that I had spent two days becoming familiar with something I previously knew “just enough about to be dangerous.”

I have SO much to learn about the cards, the symbols, the many interpretations (based on the card combinations) – and I LOVE that I have a solid foundation now to confidently build upon.

naturally, so much of what (and how) I learned reminds me of Feng Shui.

+ you gotta learn the tools of the trade and what they all offer – the bagua, the 5 elements, yin / yang, chi enhancers, chi challenges, and energetic maintenance.

+ you slowly integrate those tools in concert with each other, and with practice, learn how to discern what is “most up” for the challenge based on what you’re observing and hearing (from the client).

+ you ask questions – lots of questions.

and then, after consistent practice and contemplation over shui’s wisdom and guidance, your intuition kicks in – and one day (usually much sooner than you expect) you’re reading homes like they’re talking to you.

I am anticipating that will happen with Tarot one day for me, if I show up and practice what I learned.

so, in the swell of that inspiration, I am here to nudge you if…

you’ve been wanting to learn Feng Shui or become someone who works with Feng Shui…

you already work with people and their homes, or you work with people and their home life comes up in those conversations…

you want to learn a different language for mindfully curating environments for success, or you’d LOVE to add this ability to what you already do…

you’re simple curious – because let’s face it – sometimes learning for the sake of learning is the HIGH…

I would LOVE to have you join the 2024 House Therapy cohort.

there’s still time to get the pre-reqs out of the way – level one and level two.

right as we settle into the new year, class begins – and your 2024 will be the starting point for your own foundation in this generous and gorgeous practice.

early bird doors (that means $$$$ savings!) are open for enrollment one more week (and there are payment plans), so if you want a seat, reach out to hello@simpleshui.com.

I am still wearing the smile of satisfaction that comes from earning something new this past weekend. for me, it is a new way to interpret energy that will one day be useful with my clientele. and for you, if you say YES, it might just be when you instinctually know how to help others feel more at home in theirs! xo
