A Year in Review

Have you ever heard Jack Canfield's story? He tested the theory of positive affirmations with a $100,000 goal — and he set this ambitious goal while earning $25,000 a year. Long story short: Within the year, his income skyrocketed from $25,000 to $92,000. Do you think he even cared he was off by $8,000? Not a chance.

And, as they say, the rest is history…

In January, I set a few intentions for the year. And accomplished 5 of the 6 goals. Easily.

But this one?

Speak at a conference or convention.

I cannot believe I am sticking to this one, but I feel for me to grow, this is very necessary. It forces me to come out of my head and articulate what I think I have learned, even possibly know. And, truth be told, whenever you teach, you ultimately are the one learning more. By going public with it, I am less likely to back out. Intention, happiness, feng shui…hey, even writing…I'm your girl! 1 conference in 2010. This shall be interesting!

Well, it was going to quietly slip out the door December 31st. Easy come, easy go.

Except.

When one makes a declaration, allowing it to be an intention and NOT an obsession, the Universe hits the ignition.

All of the sudden, when you aren't looking, she has you crossing paths with a long lost friend who says in the middle of conversation, "Any interest in coming out to Tokyo in the spring for a week and teaching some feng shui workshops?"

And you hear yourself saying, "YEEEEESSSSSSSS!"

Just like that.

So maybe I missed it by a few months, but you won't catch me complaining. Not one bit.
