Oh, How I Love Thee…

I went out to my mailbox yesterday, expecting the same assortment of junk mail, bills, perhaps a magazine or two…but I was NOT expecting my Harper's Bazaar with Sarah Jessica Parker on the cover. I felt a smile erupt from the bottom of my toes all the way up and across my face. Can I just tell you how much I love, seriously love, Sex and the City? I know I write about organization, design, feng shui, and intention…but today I am pausing to appreciate all the wonderment I have experienced from Carrie Bradshaw (compliments of Sarah Jessica Parker), and her posse — Samantha, Miranda, and Charlotte.

Whether it is the show's writing or the girls' friendships or all the eye candy (fashion, accessories, the Big Apple), there are very few pleasures in this world that add up to the sheer joy I feel when watching an episode of SATC. And I am not the least bit ashamed to admit that when the movie came out last summer, I saw its first local showing and cheered OUT LOUD as the movie began. Tears of excitement welled in my eyes because, yes, I love it that much. Somehow, this show and its characters bundle so much inspiration that I can hardly contain myself…clearly. So while SATC may not heighten your joie de vivre, it doesn't hurt to ask yourself what would… and then enjoy it!
