simple shui | before + after

sometimes, an explanation of shui is easiest to convey visually.

so.

what comes to mind when you see this door?

maybe at first glance, you notice the door is weathered. its porch sits empty. you might even wonder if you’d be welcomed here. plowing deeper, it might suggest resources {time, money, energy} are in short supply. and that feeling creates those low vibes i often reference.

what about this door?

you might take notice of the thriving, fresh plants. or note that the pile of plump pumpkins are in season. the allure of scented pine cones might be enticing. and the illuminating lights suggest guidance and invitation. all of it subconsciously saying safety + comfort + beauty reside here.

we are always affected energetically by what is around us. even when we think we’re immune to it, consider the power of a subconscious mind. in the blink of a single thought, we consciously use 2,000 neurons a second while our subconscious mind blasts through 4,000,000 neurons. that is a mighty difference, yes?

so, when you think a space doesn’t really matter and you are immune to its effects, remember your subconscious may be contemplating a different opinion. good design isn’t exclusively synonymous with expensive, extravagant, or magazine worthy. rather, it simply needs to convey love. because when you offer that to the world, it comes back to you in the most embracing ways. and that, my friends, i know for sure.
