simple shui | let it flow

did you know the plumbing in a home symbolically represents emotions, finances, and digestion?

which means…

if you have a clogged drain, chances are you (or someone else in your home) might feel blocked emotionally, financially, or physically.

so.

here is an all-natural solution to open up all the channels running through your house, allowing health and wealth to flow freely.

1. pour a kettle of hot water down the drain. this will soften residue causing the problem.

2. pour 1/2 to 1 full cup of baking soda on the drain. the amount is dependent upon the drain size. if you are cleaning the shower drain, consider removing the screws to the drain cover so the baking soda can really work its magic.

3. pour 1 to 2 cups of white vinegar on top. again, the amount is dependent upon the drain’s size. the combination of baking soda + vinegar causes a crazy foamy chemical reaction that rids dirt and grime from your drain.

4. if possible, cover the drain.

5. let the baking soda and vinegar sit. depending on how stubborn the clog, let the mixture sit for as little as 20 minutes or as long as overnight.

6. boil another kettle of water. pour it down the drain after your chosen time has elapsed. this washes everything down the pipes.

a few considerations:

don’t do this is you have plastic pipes — the boiling water might melt them.

if you’ve used a commercial drain product recently, do not use vinegar as this combo creates noxious fumes. wait a couple days, and then you can safely use the baking soda + vinegar pipe power punch.

buy the baking soda and vinegar in bulk. you’ll go through it much more quickly than you might expect.

sprinkle your drains once a week with baking soda, and you will really maintain a steady, healthy flow.
