simple shui x hamptons real estate showcase

when Feng Shui comes up in conversation, there’s a familiar assumption that it’s a “move your furniture, change your life” practice. and while there is a zest of truth here, there’s a more comprehensive way to consider this ancient wisdom in today’s modern world.

suppose you have a plant that is struggling – maybe its leaves are yellowing or spotting. most of us tend to ask if it needs less water, more sunlight, or perhaps fertilizer. we get curious and intentionally look for opportunities to optimize its environment so the plant thrives.

turns out, we are just as influenced for success by our environments, too.

Feng Shui is a wisdom that interprets energy (and its patterns) in our surroundings so that we can “arrange” those influences to support and optimize our well-being.

on that note – and with the holiday season in the air – if you’re looking for a little inspiration for improving your home, here are a few possibilities swirling that we can pull with us into the new year so we are planted for success!

TIP ONE: a home that gets noticed is a home magnetizing opportunities to it. during the winter season, houses are often decked with fresh greenery and lights, making them showstoppers. In the new year, prioritize keeping the front of your home inviting with bright lights and healthy greenery. when the front of the home gives off a good first impression, it entices auspicious luck right to the front door.

TIP TWO: one of the holiday’s signature colors is red – a hue that is associated with good fortune, prosperity and happiness in Feng Shui. as you shimmy into next year, keep that luck percolating by punctuating your space with the color red. to get started, buy some red blooms for New Year’s Day – this is believed to herald a prosperous year your way!
